People like jumping in the Bayou with
the alligators

The owners of Burkhat’s Marina in Orange, TX, have a problem with people jumping in the Bayou with the alligators.

The situation is so bad that the owners had their employees to place up a warning sign saying, “No Swimming Alligators.” I know the sign is misleading for those of you who are sticklers of the English language.

At first glance, the sign reads as if there are no alligators swimming in the area. But what the owners of Burkhart’s Marina are really saying is, “Keep your hide out of the water. Hungry alligators are on the prowl.”

An unfortunate chap named Tommie Woodward didn’t believe that “Hungry alligators were on the prowl.”

Woodward jumped into the mouths of several hungry alligators who were patiently waiting for their dinner to serve himself to them.

It is not clear whether Woodward’s ill-fated decision was the result of him being as high as a kite, or him being as crazy as a rabid dog.

But what is certain is that a person should not be jumping in the Bayou where the alligators eat and live because the chances are he could become the gators meal for the day.
